Eugene “TY” Burns
I am a dedicated, hard-working, and highly motivated team player inspired by fitness. I maintain high ethical standards and critical thinking skills as well as excellent communication and customer relations skills. In addition, I am proficient in-patient assessment, time management and fitness program design/execution. I am also deeply committed to improving clients' lifestyles through fitness. I've always had a passion for fitness. I decided to start my fitness career right out of high school volunteering from team sports for multiple schools. Volunteering for schools to enhance my knowledge of fitness, so I decided to further my knowledge with acquiring certifications. My first certification was NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). From there, I was able to train general population. I started at LA Fitness and grew my knowledge and moved on to YouFit. I am currently holding seven certifications that range from kid fitness, rehab, sport training, and etc.
Born in Baton Rouge Louisiana. Graduated from Bastrop High School in 1993 where he joined the U.S. Navy that June and made it a career until August 31, 2016.
Throughout his career, he became a Military Police Officer and fell in love with fitness. He became a Command Fitness Leader which involved conducting fitness evaluations and leading physical training for Navy personnel. He is a NASM certified personal trainer. He has also competed in several NPC men's physique competitions.
An avid gym
enthusiast that enjoys pushing himself and others to new personal limits. He
has trained for over three years to perfect his skills and techniques in
regards to personal fitness and nutrition.
Currently, he is pursuing his Personal Trainer Certification through the American Council on Exercise.
